在新的國際、國內形勢下,近年來中國政府大力推動經濟的轉型和升級,進入經濟發展的新常態,其中一個重大舉措就是自由貿易區的建設,其核心是營造一個符合國際慣例的,對內外資的投資都具有國際競爭力的國際商業環境,構建與各國合作發展的新平台,拓展經濟增長的新空間,打造中國經濟"升級版",因而受到國內外的廣泛關注。

中國自由貿易區的發展動力來自於創新,而創新必須有法治的保障,因此,本次會議研討的主題是"中國自由貿易區和法律創新:公司、金融與商事糾紛解決"。誠然,自由貿易區的發展是一個系統工程,涉及很多法律領域,為了讓討論能夠集中深入,本次會議重點關注中國自由貿易區發展的背景下公司、金融以及商事糾紛解決等方面的法律創新。

探討會由香港中文大學法學院金融規管與經濟發展研究中心主辦,台灣政治大學法學院財經法律中心協辦。會議的演講和評論嘉賓來自兩岸四地,即中國內地、台灣、澳門和香港。會議語言為普通話,但提供同聲傳譯。會議時間為2015年12月19日和20日(週六全天和周日上午),地點為香港中文大學法學院沙田校區模擬法庭。

Welcome to the Conference

Under the new international and domestic circumstances, in recent years, the Chinese government has been promoting economic restructuring and upgrading, in which economic development has driven into the "new normal". One of the important initiatives is the establishment of Pilot Free-Trade-Zone. The core of it is to build a competitive commercial environment for inbound and outbound investments in compliance with international regulations, to construct a new platform for international cooperation, to expand new dimensions for economic growth, and to build an "upgraded version" of the Chinese economy.  These have attracted extensive attention from worldwide.

The dynamic development of China's Free-Trade-Zone comes from innovations, and these must be safeguarded by laws. Therefore, the theme of this conference is "China's Free-Trade-Zone and Legal Innovation: Corporation, Finance and Commercial Dispute Resolution". Indeed, the development of the Free-Trade-Zone is a comprehensive initiative, which involves many different legal perspectives. In order to have an in-depth discussion, this conference will be focused on Legal Innovation in relation to Corporation, Finance and Commercial Dispute Resolution under the Development of the China's Free-Trade-Zone.

The conference is organised by the CUHK Faculty of Law's Centre for Financial Regulation and Economic Development, in collaboration with National Chengchi University, College of Law's Economic and Financial Law Center, Taiwan. Distinguished speakers and discussants are from Greater China Region, namely, Mainland China, Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong. The conference will be conducted in Mandarin with the aid of simultaneous interpretation in English and will be held on 19-20 December 2015 (Saturday and Sunday morning) at the Faculty of Law Moot Court in the CUHK Shatin campus.
