Take the hotel shuttle bus (leaves 8:30) to University Station and take the walkway through University MTR station on weekdays. Directions to University:

Walk to the bus stop (3 min, across the road 'Geranium House'), take a bus to either Diamond Hill MTR Station or Wong Tai Sin MTR Station (various options, please check with hostel staff, +/- 20 min.), take the MTR into the direction of Yau Ma Tei (green line), get off at Kowloon Tong and change to the East Rail Line into the direction of Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau or Tai Po Market (all depart from the same platform) and get off at University Station, Exit A (30 min.).

 
Travel

Hong Kong, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, can be reached by plane, train and automobile, or ferry. Below are directions for travel. Please note that passengers on the MTR may officially only carry one piece of luggage of which total dimensions (length + width + height) do not exceed 170 cm.

Plane
Chek Lap Kok International Airport is served by nearly all major carriers (terminal 1) and a large number of regional low cost airlines (terminal 2). From the airport, there are several ways to reach the university (or your hotel):
-Taxi: A taxi from the airport will take around 45 minutes and costs up from HK$ 300 depending on traffic conditions. Take a green taxi to go to The Chinese University of Hong Kong or any place in the New Territories.
-Bus: Take Airport bus A41 (around 50 minutes, HK$ 22.30) or E42 (well over an hour, HK$ 13.90) to Sha Tin MTR Station. From there, take a taxi (around HK$ 50, 15 min.) or the MTR East Rail Line (light blue, direction Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau or Tai Po Market) to University MTR station (HK$ 4.50, 10 min.). The university is at Exit A.
-MTR: Take the Airport Express to Tsing Yi, change to the Tung Chung Line (yellow, direction Hong Kong) and get off at Nam Cheong. From Nam Cheong, take the West Rail Line (pink, direction Hung Hom) to Hung Hom and then the East Rail Line (light blue, direction Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau or Tai Po Market) to University MTR station. The university is at Exit A. The trip will take around an hour and costs HKD$ 60.

Train
Trains run from the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau border checkpoints. From either port, take the MTR East Rail Line (light blue), direction Hung Hom to University MTR Station (HK$ 27.50, around 30 minutes for both).
Intercity through trains run between Guangzhou (Mainland) and Hung Hom, please check the website (http://www.it3.mtr.com.hk/B2C/frmScheduleGuangdong.asp?strLang=Eng) for further information. From Hung Hom take the MTR East Rail Line into the direction of Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau or Tai Po Market (all depart from the same platform) and get off at University Station, Exit A (HK$ 7.50, 25 min.).

Automobile
Follow directions to University via Tai Po Road. To get to the conference venue, enter university via the University Entrance on Tai Po Road (this is the second entrance when arriving from Sha Tin, the first is Chung Chi College). The Lee Shau Kee Building is the first building on your left-hand side.

Ferry
Hong Kong can be reached by Ferry from Macau, Zhuhai, Shekou or Guangzhou arriving either at Sheung Wan or Tsim Sha Tsui. From Sheung Wan, walk to the Sheung Wan MTR Station via the underpass, take the Island line (dark blue, direction Chai Wan) to Central, then the Tsuen Wan Line (red line, direction Tsuen Wan) to Mong Kok, followed by the Kwun Tong Line (green, direction Tiu Keng Leng) to Kowloon Tong. From Kowloon Tong take the MTR East Rail Line (light blue) into the direction of Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau or Tai Po Market (all depart from the same platform) and get off at University Station, Exit A (HK$ 18, 50 min.). From Tsim Sha Tsui, walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East station (it is possible to use the entrance for Tsim Sha Tsui station as there is an underpass). Take the East Rail Line (pink, direction Hung Hom), to Hung Hom, change to the West Rail Line (light blue) into the direction of Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau or Tai Po Market (all depart from the same platform) and get off at University Station, Exit A (HK$ 10.50, 30 min.).
